Releasing independent music means hearing many different perspectives. 

Some playlist curators heard “You’re Right About That” as electropop. Others heard futuristic R&B, dance-pop, gospel, trap, or hip-hop influences. Several described the production as polished, energetic, distinctive, uplifting, and full of personality. 

Some added it to their playlists. Some liked it but felt that it did not match the specific atmosphere they were curating. Others offered constructive feedback that I can carry into future projects. 

And somewhere in the middle of all of those different reactions, the song reached #49 on Groover Charts in the United States.
