The Prophecy of the Seventh Elizabeth: The Battle between Light and Dark by Jarrod Edge is Book Two in the series, a compelling work that deals with the eternal war between good and evil, only it doesn’t read preachy. Aware of an ancient prophecy, the Settes are on a mission to protect those who still keep the faith from a deadly force that is out to extinguish the light in the world. There is danger, creatures of darkness, and unforgiving forces stacked against the little group so that the reader wonders if they can last a minute longer. But the Children of Light aren’t without succor for angels and other spiritual forces stand behind them.

Jarrod Edge’s work is fast-paced and features compelling characters like Elizabeth, Jacob, Macoah, and others. The characters are well sculpted to reveal a wealth of knowledge including Christian myth, scripture, and history; some of them are drawn from religious and political institutions and they are so compelling that readers will love to follow them throughout the story. The Prophecy of the Seventh Elizabeth: The Battle between Light and Dark is succinct proof of a fertile imagination. The conflict is colossal and well-developed and it is interesting to see how the author uses it to propel the plot forward. I loved the writing which was neat and clear. Jarrod Edge’s book can be read as a symbol of the war that goes on within the individual’s soul, the struggle to choose good over evil, to embrace the light of faith in the midst of intense darkness. It is a very inspiring and entertaining read.
